My professional path in human rights started at the Danish Institute for Human Rights and I have since taken up positions as Human Rights and Democracy Adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Rights and Democracy Coordinator in DanChurchAid. I have now more than 20 years of operational experience in promoting human rights & children’s rights impact projects  undertaken by companies, multilateral donors, national governments, NGOs and international NGOs.

I have enjoyed spearheading mainstreaming and integration of human rights and child safeguarding within many private, public and voluntary sectors and I have provided training in human rights and children’s rights for many different stakeholders. In particular the development of a Human Rights Based Approach to Development ( HRBA) has been exiting and I have enjoyed working closely with Sida, Norad, UNDP, UNICEF  on the development of HRBA tools and the ensuring operationalisation in country programmes and in strategic partnerships.

As Global Programme Director in Cross Cultures I was responsible for the Child Safeguarding in Sports projects in Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan and Moldova and for the cross-sectoral Sport, Police and School cooperation for child protection in Ukraine.
